Manning the grill at a backyard barbecue isn’t just a job — it’s practically a full-time commitment. But what if you could hand off the responsibility and still serve perfectly cooked steaks? Thanks to new smart grill technology from Brisk It and Seergrills, that’s now a real possibility.

These companies are bringing artificial intelligence to the cookout, offering grills that promise precise temperatures, ideal sears, and personalized doneness — all with the help of your smartphone.

The Perfecta by Seergrills
At $3,500, Seergrills' Perfecta is no ordinary backyard appliance. This AI-powered grill uses a proprietary system called NeuralFire — a combination of sensors and a smart processor — to detect food thickness and cook it to your preferred doneness, all in as little as 90 seconds for a 1-inch ribeye.

Whether you're cooking burgers, steaks, or other proteins, the Perfecta promises consistent, high-quality results with minimal effort.

Using the Perfecta’s mobile app, you simply select your protein, the cut, and how you like it cooked. The grill takes it from there. No flipping required — its dual infrared burners sear both sides simultaneously, reaching blazing-hot temperatures up to 900°C (1,652°F). That’s about ten times faster than a conventional grill.

The NeoSear by Brisk It
Prefer something that looks and feels more like a traditional barbecue? Brisk It’s NeoSear might be your match. This smart grill offers a real-time AI grilling assistant that you can actually talk to — think of it like having a chatbot sous-chef built into your grill.

Just speak your preferences aloud, from seasoning levels to doneness, and the NeoSear adjusts accordingly. It uses a combination of wood pellets (like a classic smoker) and electric heating for both smoking and searing.

Powered by InnoGrill 2.0, Brisk It’s upgraded AI engine, the NeoSear can now handle freeform voice requests — no more sticking to pre-set menus. Ask it to cook something just how you like it, and it’ll make it happen, even adjusting on the fly if something goes wrong.

Pricing for the NeoSear hasn’t been announced yet, but Brisk It’s existing smart grills retail for up to $1,400.

Both the Perfecta and the NeoSear aim to take the guesswork out of grilling — ideal for anyone who wants perfectly cooked meat without the stress. That said, there’s still something magical about tending the grill yourself, beer in hand, surrounded by friends on a sunny afternoon. But if you'd rather spend more time mingling and less time sweating over the flames, these AI-powered grills might be your new favourite cookout companion.
