The month of February inspired the Steakboyz onto their first quest of 2019 to find QUALITY STEAKS.
Fire & Ice in Manly has unbelievable relationships which go back over 20 years and the owners David & Sharon Diamond still buy from some of their suppliers acquired back in November 1995. David and Sharon strive to bring the best quality meet to your dinner plate and both truly believe in satisfying all their diners when it comes to quality and value. David and Sharon also believe a good restaurant is more like theatre today and good food only is not enough. The Steakboyz immediately felt David & Sharon’s hospitality as mentioned by two esteemed Steakboyz. “Great evening. David and Sharon are extremely passionate about their meat”. “Loved this place - nice beachy feel with great selection of meats and wine - staff were great and David knows his stuff. David married Sharon in 1980 but both from a very young age had been bussing and then waiting tables for pocket money while at school. After immigrating into Australia in 1995 the Diamonds bought an insolvent first floor restaurant in Manly named Ribs and Rumps, well their hard work long 18 hour days and with the help of their two children paid off. Ribs and Rumps Manly became one of the busiest restaurants in Sydney, and a true "rags to riches story", the Diamonds, received an offer they could not refuse, and Ribs and Rumps was sold. After traveling the world for two years David had a desire to do it himself again one more time. David had an idea and concept but wondered if the market was ready for such a bold move. Fire and Ice offers a very unique idea and concept of raw meat in your face. The Steakboyz evening was truly theatrical dining and a theatre experience, from the front fridge door stock full of meat and the passion for quality meat shined through, even to the cutlery (nice knives) and furniture setting. The Steakboyz were warmly greeted at the door and showed the amazing display of steaks on offer. After being seated at a nice big square table overlooking the water, the Steakboyz were introduced to some fine aged steaks and the Tajima Tomahawk Marble 9+ (1.7 to 2kg). With David’s South African background, he provided the Steakboyz a palate cleanser and we then opted for some Boerewors starters, Beef Carpaccio and side of something green. David then laid it on with a massive STEAKBOYZ PURE MEAT PLATTER:
