Cajun Butter Steak
Serves: 6–8 | Prep Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 40 mins Spicy, smoky, and sweet – this Cajun-marinated steak is finished with a bourbon-infused glaze for ultimate flavour. Ingredients ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce ⅓ cup extra-virgin olive oil ¼ cup brown sugar ¼ cup bourbon 2 tbsp. whole-grain mustard 2 tsp Cajun seasoning 2 garlic cloves, minced 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves ¼ tsp red pepper flakes 2 lb tri-tip or thick sirloin 2 tbsp. butter Chopped parsley, to garnish (optional) Method 1. Whisk marinade ingredients and set aside ⅓ for glazing. Marinate steak in the rest for 20 mins to 4 hours (refrigerate if over 20 mins). 2. Heat grill to high. Season steak with salt and pepper. Grill 10 mins per side, reducing heat slightly after flipping. Remove when internal temp hits 130°F. Rest before slicing. 3. Boil reserved marinade in a saucepan to reduce. Whisk in butter. 4. Brush glaze over sliced steak and garnish with parsley.
